Meet the Mitchells

This is the place we decided to make our home and we want to share that with anyone that wants to visit our cozy, little town.

"

Hey, Y’all! We are Kim and Troy Mitchell, the owners and hosts of The Mockingbird Inn. We originate from a small town in Illinois where we raised our 4 children and worked in the hospitality business.


Why Ocean Springs you may ask?

About the Mockingbird

Built-in 1899 and newly renovated, The Mockingbird Inn is nestled on an oak tree-lined historic street on the North Side of Ocean Springs. The home will surround you with modern coastal warmth that welcomes sun and rain both. The Wrap-Around front porch is perfect for catching your breath from a long day at the beach or taking in the rain that sings on our oak trees. Choose between the Magnolia, Willow, Azalea, and Fern Suites for your stay.

 

Fort Bayou is located next to the property so, take a stroll next door to Marble Springs Park for a view of the bayou and learn the history of the natural springs that gave Ocean Springs its name. Just 1 block to Downtown OS has many galleries, shopping, boutiques, & restaurants, the close proximity to the best of Ocean Springs provides so many opportunities for your stay here. One mile to the beach which is lined with piers, volleyball courts, fire pits, parks, and the like that is bound to entertain everyone at your party.  

 

Just 2 miles to casinos mean that no matter how long or short your trip to Ocean Springs, there is always time to try your luck!
